A
group of volunteers with the Food & Agriculture sub-group of South
Lakeland Action on Climate Change are looking for land to lease or use
on a charitable basis. The
land will be used for an experimental community agriculture scheme
primarily for growing vegetables, establishing an orchard, coppicing,
possibly a small amount of livestock, and also aiming to increase the
biodiversity of the site. We
are a group of committed individuals with a wide range of experience
in organics and permaculture looking for around 2-5 acres, with the
potential to expand in future. Ideally
the land would be within a 10 mile radius of Kendal, although we are
willing to hear about further availability across
South
Lakes
