Do
you love organics?
Cumbria Organics is working with the team at iloveorganics in
Wainwright’s Yard, Kendal to create a regular informal meeting
point and drop-in session for anyone with an interest in all
things organic. The
first informal lunch time gathering will take place on Tuesday 29
May and it will offer a chance find out more about the range of
organic products now available in the UK and the many local
organic producers here in Cumbria.
“There is so much interest in organic products at the moment
that we thought it would be worth trying these drop-in sessions,”
explains Kate Gascoyne of Cumbria Organics.
“Some of our producer members will be coming along to
take part, answer questions and talk about local organic produce
and cafeorganic will be open for an organic drink, snack or lunch.
Families are welcome and there will be information
available on organic food for babies and children plus organic sun
protection products.”
Since opening in December 2005, iloveorganics has made quite a name for itself, stocking a range
of organic products as well as offering the all-organic delights
of cafeorganic and, more recently, salonorganic, which provides
the very best in organic treatments and holistic therapies.
iloveorganics is run by Ian and Alexis Dixon who are keen to
encourage people to think about organic healthcare products and
toiletries as well as foods. “We
set up the shop to give the image of organics a
much needed makeover,” says Ian.
“We’ve tried to create an environment that is bright,
modern and relaxing and we very much hope that these joint events
with Cumbria Organics will give people an excuse to come in and
find out more.”
The first drop-in session is from
11am
to
2pm
on
Tuesday, 29 May at iloveorganics in Wainwright’s Yard in Kendal (near Booths).
There will also be similar sessions at the same times on
Tuesday, 26 June and Tuesday, 24 July.
